Dear Members and Friends of First Baptist Church,

With hearts full of gratitude and reflection, we write to share the news that First Baptist Church will be officially closing its doors on July 31st. This is a moment filled with many emotions, as we remember and give thanks for God’s steadfast faithfulness to our congregation over the past 182 years.


On our final Sunday together, July 27th at 10:00 am, following morning worship, we invite you to join us for a special “Lunch Bunch” fellowship. This will be a time to gather as friends and family, to share memories, laughter, and perhaps a few tears, as we celebrate all that God has done in and through First Baptist Church. We will give thanks to the generations who have worshipped, served, and grown together in this sacred place.


In recognition of the next chapter, we will also hold a dedication worship service, followed by a commemorative plaque service at a later time and date with the pastor and congregation of Iglesia Cristiana Vida Integral (Whole Life Church). This service will be a symbolic transfer of ownership, as we trust that the ministry and mission of Christ will continue and flourish through them in this location. We are grateful for their partnership and look forward to seeing how God will write new stories of hope and transformation here.


We encourage you to join us for these important events as we honor our heritage and embrace God’s future. May we continue to walk in faith, knowing that the love and legacy of First Baptist will always remain in our hearts.
